38:37.46N 20:40.98E Sorry for the blog silence but life has been hectic on board.  Come Sunday there’s still plenty to do but Heather has arrived from London and it’s time to say goodbye to Nisos, who’ve been looking after Deep Blue for the last five years.  With lots of waving and foghorn blowing it’s an emotional goodbye to Perigalia and we’re on our way.  Not very far to be truthful, just round the corner to Sivota, and there’s no wind so we motor all the way.  After a peaceful night the wind’s right up this morning so it’s important we fit the sprayhood before setting off to cross the Ionian.  Heavy squalls make us pleased we stayed in harbour and the next boat recorded 40kt winds at one point.  I’ve photos to send but they’ll have to wait for another day as I’m suffering from low battery (the computer not me).
