Ahoy Land lubbers

What a day of sail changes, I think we have nearly run through the whole wardrobe!! Even Black Betty the spinnaker came out briefly.

Winds were light, heavy, North West, North East, South East and no wind at all. we've had rain, fog and sunshine.

Thankfully, it has now filled in nicely from the South East and we are trucking along at a speedy 7.5 knots. Yippee. the lovely starboard tack.

Our mood today warranted the Camp Boss declaring an emergency happy hour which was from 6 to 8. There was considerable discussion whether that meant from 6pm to 8pm, or 6pm - 8am, or even 6pm, to 8pm on the following day. Needless to say, we only had enough beer for 1 round, and the nibbles soon ran out. It did help with general demeanor, though none of us can understand how we did 46 days of this getting to Fremantle. we must have been mad. Comments from the general shore bases are not required nor appreciated here.

All is good on board, Meerkat is crochetting some wicked slippers for somebody that has elfin like feet with pointed toes. Moby made us all a great lunch with some lovely sockeye salmon (compliments of Willy, thankyou!) and the Captain came up from his afternoon siesta with the comment that it was so quiet on board, he thought we'd all gone off and left him. We were trying to play cribbage. (say no more)

Meerkat is trying to teach me how to crochet, I seem to recall I am having the exact same results as when I tried earlier. Serious cramp in my right hand, with my pinkie finger under threat of self amputation, due to the wool tension being too tight.

Anyway, hope all is good where you are; that the Canadians are not buried in the snow and the West Australians are keeping cool and that the Scots and English aren't getting too much rain.
