The Cape, no not the batman cape but the Cape of Good Hope, often referred to as the bottom of Africa.

I always thought the bottom of Africa was Nigeria (?).

For the trivia pursuit enthusiasts ? the southern tip of Africa is the next cape along, Cape Angulhas.

We are about 300 miles from the cape (GH)and we are approaching it from the southwest.

We have the yankee and staysail up and two reefs "up" the mainsail (Meercats version)..we are tramping along at 7.7 knts to windward and the motion in the forward berths is somewhat levitating.

We have negotiated a berth at the Yacht Club for the months to come so the boat gets a rest and some TLC before the next leg to Oz.

Meercat has been busy on cyberspace organising her trip to Melbourne and organising her graduation ball acoutraments.

All is well on board i.e we still have gin and tonic, beer and wine. Fresh veges are abit scarce bur we seem to have a ton of frozen brololi in the freezer. We are now down to our last 40 odd apples.

Its a blue cooking day so I better get busy, toad in the hole for lunch, curry and rice for dinner which is better than the hot tongue and cold shoulder we get from the pink crew.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Amok out
