DAY 5 AND STILL BEATING
After leaving False Bay we sailed due south in a 30 knt South Easter tacked at 40 degrees south ie turned left towards Oz, still no sign of the promised westerlies.

Seas are pretty big so we are all doing horizontal yoga climbing manouvers, the boat has consistently been throwing me into my bunk, it is now a third dan black belt.

Toe Tae Brutus, prior to leaving, we had a final go at renewing the brain in our cooker which it obviously objected to as at an unguarded moment when my back was turned together with a 40 knt gust I was launched on to the cooker which had the temerity to stab me in the back with some sharp stainless part. We took the hint and it now works fine with external switching.

We are thinking of Xmas preparations and discussing where to put the tree and the yule log, I think we are having stuffed wart hog and deep fried elephant trunk rings courtesy of Sam and Dierdrie of Simonstown,
I just hope if Santa is coming he will have taken his sea sick pills.

That's all me hearties I'm off to the paint locker to stuff the warthog.
