Hey landlubbers,

Rounded Cape of good hope this afternoon. We were lucky enough to see the sunset behind the Cape itself. We also noted the sea to be green, instead of the usual dark blue. I for one commented on the shade, but no one was interested.

Fortunately everyone stayed onboard, but trysail demanded attention and continued to strip off his bag, which left him quite naked and orange lying sadly on the deck. The waves were big all day and managed to carry our rubbish bags off to a better place.

Aaahh, before this the Staysail halyard decided to go for a holiday and left the Staysail quite lonely. Currently we are all recovering from a bit of excitement of trying to furl the Yankee. We are now heading straight to the destination ie. FBYC and have the wind slightly behind us. This and the big waves mean a rolly boat. Which means bowls sliding, back and forth, potatoes breaking free and anyone who dares sit at the chart table, has to hang onto the computer, charts, themselves oh and yes their sanity.

No one has been brave enough to start the dishes, so the pile continues to grow. Momma made us all bowls of soup, Myself being delighted with Minestrone. I am also confident to say that I am a professional at sitting, balancing my soup, holding my bread and not spilling any. Unfortunately I only have two arms and was unable to help Momma's piece of toast acting Frisbee for half a second.

Although we are in a sheltered bay, the wind still swings up to 25 knots. The sea temperature was recorded *winces*(Just got jammed against the navigation books) today at an impressive 13 C, physically monitored by Tobs.

Papa Smurf on the other hand has being playing Sailor and now operates the main winch like a true...Uh...Main winch operator.

We will probably tie up against the visitors berth(we hope) later tonight. And I, Pandora have already pre-ordered a pepperoni pizza via radio to be delivered to us.

Fun Fact....Did you know Huettre means "Oyster" in french ? OUI !

Anyhoo, must dash and dawdle towards the cockpit,

Toodles ;)

Meercat.
