Greetings Landlubbers,
It seems we have a gremlin onboard, with a number of things going the matter within 24 hours. I hope the daylight tomorrow will bring the opportunity to investigate the problems in more detail toether with hopefully a solution or two.

The wind is exactly from the SE, which coincidentally is our course for St. Helena. At least it is a nice steady 20 knots.

The first few days out are always a little more challenging than later in the passage, everybody is finding their feet and the night watches seem very long.

Pandora has done some fantastic humorous sketches to keep our spirits up, she has such a wicked sense of humour. Toby and MIke are on kitchen duty today and we have enjoyed a great hungarian stew followed by an apple crumble.

Pandora absolutely stomped me at scrabble this afternoon, she convinced me to put down a single letter N, telling me it would be good for the game, then duped me into putting down none other than "quotation", the little cow, on a triple word score no less.
Anyway sailors, Happy Australia Day to the downunder-ers, hope the Scots enjoy the snow and trust the Canadians are keeping warm if in Calgary, and cool if in Antigua.
