Good Evening Limpets,

sorry for the long delay in blog updates, been suffering because of the swell which has resulted in some rather uncomfortable motion and seasickness. We departed American River yesterday morning, and although enjoyed a fast sail during day light hours, the wind and the seas really picked up at dusk resulting in a very challenging night.

We saw gusts of 40 knots and a swell that must have been between 4 and 5 metres. We ended up dropping the main to try to improve the motion.

Anyway, a new day finally dawned and things improved. We are currently about 60 miles outside of Portland Victoria, so hope to arrive there in the early hours of tomorrow. From Portland, our next intended stop is King Island.

We are picking up our new crew member in Portland. We are all very pleased to have Willy onboard, particularly Pandora.

It's still touch and go for me to be below decks, my friends, so I think I had better head up to the fresh air and the horizon.

xxxxx
