Well hello me hearties,
The wind has increased to occasionally 30 knots and we are back down to a triple reefed mainsail and our staysail. Our speed has unfortunately dropped right off, as the large waves are seriously hampering our progress. We seem to have a very confused sea, with the sea conditions appearing to be much worse than the current wind conditions, which does not bode well. This usually heralds that there is much worse to come, but we will keep an open mind about things. With the current sail configuration, we are prepared for it.

Our dinners were flying off our plates tonight and there were several lunges required in order to catch food from flying off the table. Poor Tmoby had a clean Adidas jumper on (must nearly be his last me thinks) and he copped a load of fish pie on it. (very nice fish pie it was too).

We think this is the tail end of cyclone Bianca and the grib files indicate it may be worse tomorrow. oh joy.

Just to keep you all in the loop, here's the top 10 things I am looking forward to doing within the next few days and next week:

1. enjoying a full night's sleep in a still bed with clean sheets, totally oblivious to what the wind is doing (yipee)
2. enjoying a large gin and tonic WITH ICE, and leave it un-tended on a table (shock horror)
3. enjoying a hot bubble bath with IPOD (and singing along without getting told off)
4. enjoy having my short hair back once I get somebody to cut this George Harrison mop off my head (Help, I need somebody...)
5. being still (zzz)
6. stepping onto the quay (OMG)
7. enjoying a meal without cabbage (WTF)
8. seeing some new faces (oh look new faces)
9. talking to some new people (oh hello new people)
10. finding something green to look at(trees, grass or green vegetables will do) as we believe the ancient Cornish superstition that anything green on a boat brings bad luck.
11. enjoying a meal at Joy's in Freo (mmm)

Damn that's 11 things. oh well. 11 it is.

Anyway, I have achieved my aim of today in that my children have called me a dork, so that's my objective complete.

love to you all
Salty Sal the Dork and her unforgiving crew.
