After leaving the customs we had a 3 hour motor up the channel to the St, Petersburg River Yacht Club.  It would have been quite boring if it wasn't for the hydrofoils that raced across the water at speeds of up to 45kn. As we approached the channel to enter the marina it looked as if one of those hydrofoils was going to run us down as it skated around from one channel into our one. It was very tense. Even the channel that we were meant to use to get to the marina was being used for the construction of a bridge crossing the river. On eventually reaching the marina we were allocated a berth which was going to be very tight to enter, we managed it but not sure how we’re going to get out as their is very little room for manoeuvring with a large cat opposite us.  It will be fun when we have to leave.
