Jumped in all snorkeled and flippered up at 6:30
this morning in time to catch Sharky (or George) at breakfast (sensible?
stupid? when do sharks have breakfast?), armed with the underwater camera... but
no show from the main players. Took lots of snaps of neanderthal lobsters, spiky
lobsters, and all sorts of pretty fish. (photos on film - will come in some
weeks/months...well, maybe).
Arrived in Georgetown today after a nice motor-sail
45M or so from Conception island. Caught no fish despite two lines out all day.
however, one of the lures was mostly missing, including the inch-long hooks
which had been munched by something!
Now anchored in 'Kidd Cove' right next to town, and
brilliantly discovered that they have free water here! so filling up the tanks
tomorrow for Mum's imminent visit and shower demands.
That's about it for my news. A week of
island-hopping then the next big offshore passage to bermuda - about another 850
miles or 8 days expected.
