Science Agrees on Size of Seas
For decades, even centuries, scientist have argued over
virtually every topic on Earth. Neither side being right or wrong,
depending on how one looked at the subject. But it seems there will always be
differences in opinion among the most educated and inspirational
scientist. These differences sparking debates and
conversations that seemingly will never end. Like Nature vs. Nurture,
Predestined Future vs. Free Will, God vs. No God, , Global Warming vs. Climate
Change vs. Government Conspiracy, and so on.
But after hundreds of years of Sea Faring adventurers, ranging
from explorers seeking new land, pirates seeking booty, merchant mariners
seeking commerce and yachtsmen seeking speed, one thing that everyone agrees
with, scientists and commoners alike, is that this Ocean is darn right
big.

New Sea Product a Splashing Success
Ever Damp, a newly patented product offering the qualities of
Life at Sea, is expected to hit stores from Europe to the United States later
this Summer. A simple organic mixture of salt and water, Ever Damp can be
applied safely to clothing, linens, hair, skin and even food, to mimic the
constantly damp sensation that comes with sailing for days in a small boat in a
big Ocean. One doesn’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars
anymore to experience one of the richest qualities of life at Sea. Product
developer, Cindy Fletcher Holden, says “It’s a factor of life out here that you
just don’t get on land. Even with hatches open and sun shining, every
thing has a certain dampness to it, that I felt should be shared with the folks
who don’t get to sail.”
Ever Damp will come in a variety of sizes, and there may be a
new line of Ever Damp Aromas, such as “Late Summer Mildew”, and “Milk Turned
Bad” and more.

and as always, weird yoga.
To date, no official competitions are announced, but a Feline
Race to the Aft Cabin is in the works. It appears that the moment the engine
starts, the 2 Ship’s Cats race to the aft locker defying all gravity and normal
cat speed. The NAAC will announce when this race is official, and when
betting can begin.

Baking Cakes Takes Top Priority in Azorean High
Crew aboard the American yacht Tenacity are still enjoying
plentiful sunshine while motoring through the high pressure air mass known as
the Azorean high. To pass the time between tanning and watch keeping, first mate
Cindy Fletcher Holden has already baked three cakes, two loaves of cornbread and
is contemplating cookies except the boat seems to be out vanilla extract.
“Could be worse,” says Fletcher-Holden, “At least the fridge is
running! I can figure out how to go without vanilla, I’m
sure.” There was a short scare when the fridge was discovered turned off
at the compressor, but all is back to normal now. Still a mystery, the main
suspects as to the cause of the compressor being turned of are the cats, who
have been plotting their revenge now for weeks. “I wouldn’t put it past them”
says The Most Wonderful Crew John Prehn. “They’re probably back there
keeping score of days in captivity”
But all in all, motoring in a straight line while auto pilot
“Bubbah” steers is a nice little break from 12 ft seas and exhausting hand
steering.
“We even saw a green flash at sunset the other day” says
Fletcher-Holden. “Very cool. And we saw 2 whales yesterday! Also very
cool!” |
