Ardfern to Home  14.3 miles logged

 

Tuesday was another lovely morning, initially with no wind but once again a favourable tide we headed up the Sound of Jura picking up a lovely breeze off the Sound of Islay for another glorious sail to Ardfern where we topped up the diesel tanks.

Due to mismanagement we ended up with Irish green diesel in the port tank and red diesel in the starboard tank!

Leaving Ardfern we headed for home.

 

   

 

An enjoyable cruise over 6 weeks with 925 miles logged but we had planned to spend another month on the West. Early on the weather was bright but cold but the strong winds and big seas on the West Coast curtailed our plans to explore some more anchorages.

We can always go back to enjoy more of the Irish scenery and hospitality!
