002.06.774W Woke to less wind so cast off at 07.45 and a
glorious sail; broad reach, reach, close reach then on the wind 15-20 knots!
Effortless sailing with Moonbeam in her element and we were wondering what we
were doing wrong when the speed dropped below 7 knots.   Destination the marina in Pornic- tried to
find out more about the town but everytime I Googled it I was distracted! Pornic
does not have much water below half tide so we wanted to arrive there before 1pm
hence the early start. While it was springs only on Monday there was more water
than I had imagined and we could have had a bit of a lie in! Only a 4 hour sail
again and moored up in bright sunshine in yet another jam packed
marina.        The old town is just half a mile
away.           We will leave Moonbeam here for a few days
and visit Ian and Angela Wood. |
