Last night we continued motoring through a thick gloopy fog which clung to
everything and left it sopping. As the wind rose in the morning we raised the
gennaker and gybed to take advantage of the best wind angle. Interestingly, we
realised that this heading would take us directly to Flores, the nearest of the
Azores, by Saturday. So at the moment we are continuing along this route. If we
decide to stop at Flores, we will then have two 24 hour sails to get to Horta
and then Ponta Delgarda. As this will also give us a bit more of a flavour of
the different islands, and we have plenty of time, it is our preferred option at
the moment.
