We headed down the coast of Fuertaventura with excellent wind. After an exhilarating sail, we arrived at Puerto Castillo. We had phoned ahead to check there was room, and after carefully navigating between two reefs to get in we found that “plenty space” meant alongside a pontoon that extended from our stern cleats to mid-ships cleats, leaving the whole of the bow overhanging. However we managed to secure the boat, and walked ashore to visit the delights, and supermarket. The night was disturbed somewhat with over-stressed ropes creaking away.
