We had favourable winds throughout last night, but also very large seas
coming from the stern quarter that resulted in a very rolling motion, so not
much sleep was to be had. The weather is warm, with some cloud. We are still
making reasonable progress, though we are travelling east at a lower latitude
than is normal to miss out the worst of the storms tracking across to the north
of us.
Early this morning a number of tuna were seen swimming through the
wavetops, pursued by a pod of dolphins. It could have been an opportunity to
catch a tuna, but the sea state would have made it quite perilous on the aft
deck when trying to get one on board, so we have not depoyed the fishing gear
today.
The forecast is for the wind to go light for the next 24 hours before
building again.
