Once we reached the south of Antigua we were able to sail so with full main and Genoa we headed off, the only other boat heading our way was another ketch who had mizzen up as well and was gaining on us- race on 🤣 up went the mizzen and we soon pulled away and had a fantastic sail down to Guadalupe doing the 47 miles in 7 hours 👏.
We found Deshaies crowded and the swell rolling in with boats surging back and forth, we ended up anchoring in about 11meters water which is far deeper than we like, but it was very busy. We had a rolly night and the next day Martin and Sharon arrived on Sonsy Lass 🤩 we haven’t seen them since St Martin and were looking forwards to catching up. Soon we had dinghies over and were onboard catching up, we then arranged to pick them up and take them ashore for a leg stretch, coffee and wander.

Not a great picture as it’s from a video I took but this little humming bird was a delight to watch.

After 2 nights rolling and with 2 cruise ships arriving the next morning we decide it was time to move and headed 2 miles south.
