It was of course now dark and the crew were summoned from slumber to assist. With that the wind took a 90 degree shift and we were almost heading back to the canaries! Tiredness was showing a little and after a bit of work the kite was down stowed and packed again ready for the morning. It was a rather wet night with heavy down pours and wind was variable. This morning it the showers can be seen each side of us but wind has become more consistant so we are up and flying again... for now.
By the end of today we hope to be under the 700 mile mark ish to the top of the island.
Just a quick note from me but a Happy Birthday to my wife Lyndsey and thank you for giving me the opportunity to cross the pond! Luckily she has Ted and Flo to make her breakfast in bed and spoil her. I am not sure what state the kitchen was in after but i might be able to guess :)
