A Good Day

What a lovely day's sail.  After strong winds, lumpy seas, rain and rolling yesterday and early last night, today is so different. There is a very thin layer of high cloud - enough to keep the risk of sunburn low, the wind is warm, moderate and enough for decent progress in the right direction, the sea state has settled nicely and nothing seems to be leaking !

A pleasant day spent reading and having meals in the cockpit, after a few chores this morning.

The fruit and veg are getting thinner on the ground, but have not run out yet. Tomorrow will be the last day of 'shore bread' when the pitta-type stuff runs out.  After that it's heating up part-baked loaves in the oven every couple of days.

Just great when an easy day drops in your lap.
