The clouds have come

Afternoon All,
Today is our first cloudy day. We saw the beginning of it yesterday evening
with a weather front visible to our south, and then when light came, we were in
heavy fog. That lifted after a few hours to reveal a grey day. The clouds have
also brought cooler temperatures as well. Thankfully, the wind has also picked
up and we are now bombing along on a broad reach at 5kt. 54:58.37N
17:11.28W
Tonight we’ll be having the last of the fresh food, (chilli con carne, yum)
before moving onto the tins and jars from tomorrow.
We are benefiting tremendously from the rather unusual weather system we
are in at the moment. With highs to the north and east, these are blocking the
area of low pressure to our south, preventing it from passing over us yet, and
giving us (so far) 6 days of following winds, which is very unusual for this
crossing.
Best wishes,
Hamsi |
