A cold night

Yesterday was a rather confusing day. We had been tracking the progress of
a low that was moving in our direction and were observing the pressure drop by
1-2 mbar per hour for many hours, so thinking that we were heading into some bad
weather we put up the storm jib and hove to, but the bad weather never came.
Instead the wind died and the sun came out. Very confusing. I can only guess
that the low passed right over the top of us and the bad weather missed us. In
any case, a fortuitous turn of events.
Last night was one of the coldest nights we’ve had so far with both of us
getting cold in our sleeping bags despite many jumpers and us being on a level
with Paris!
Other than that, not much to report.
