We have crossed over into the Eastern hemisphere.
After 61hrs of motor sailing the wind has come up enough for us to be doing in
excess of 6.5kts under sail. The wind is expected to continue and perhaps built
a little and should be with us all the way to Lautoka. We have changed course
and are heading again for Lautoka. We had some bad reports about Suva.
Difficulty with check in without paying extras, dirty etc. Now we have the wind
we are happy to put in an extra night and get to Lautoka. There are some coral
areas just west that we may be able to visit on Sunday before checking out of
Fiji for Vanuatu on Monday. We will spend Saturday as tourists, hire a car and
pick up Audrie from the airport.
Distance to Lautoka:
123nm
