a rough nite
POSITION 20:38S 170:55W When I spoke to Hamish this morning he was sounding
pretty tired. They had quite a heavy night with some squalls at 50knots
and confused seas. A couple of big waves laid her over on her side in
the night, but there is no damage and everyone is fine. I think we were
both pleased they had chosen to head around the quieter side of the system! Hamish said that they were getting more rain now and
that the wind had dropped to 25 knots – feeling more comfortable Current conditions ESE25 on a heading of 272T at 7 -
8 knots Last 24 hours was 187 miles and now have just
219MTG. Computer estimates 30 hours to run. Grib files show winds dropping to 15 knots from East
so I think the last day and a half will be much more pleasant Michael |
