Mango de Mar Menor, 107 miles south.  It is an inland sea just north of Cartagena.  We had a smooth trip south overnight and arrived into Mar Menor around 1603 the next day.  I know it was that time because the bridge goes up every second hour to let boats in and out of Mar Menor and we missed it by 3 minutes.  AGGHHHH  So we sat outside for two hours and waited.  We eventually made it in and tied up in the waiting area of the first marina which is where we stayed for the night.  On route we had run out of camping gas, always a disaster when trying to poach eggs!  However should you ever find yourself in this situation just stick the lid on them and EVENTUALLY they will get hard enough to eat.  The really sloppy ones you give to Saint Michael!

In the morning Michael went on an excursion in a taxi and located camping gas and we had a short tour of Mar Menor before heading for the bridge on the even hour!  We weren’t going to wait again.  Mar menor (minor sea) is an extremely large inland sea complete with a few islands, and many resorts.  Really interesting place and would have been great to cruise here for a few days.
