I knew it was fatal buying more suncream in Brixham.......! After two gloriously hot and sunny days our typical British summer returned with a vengeance. We set off in a forecast of Force4-5 occaisonally 6 on Tuesday morning heading for Salcombe or Plymouth in full oilies (brand new I should add thanks to a PWC retirement gift!) The wind was actually more of a Force 7 occaisonally 6 and the seas quite rough as we rounded Berry Head and the oilies were well and truly christened with a few big blue ones landing across the decks! We decided to put in to Dartmouth and are currently moored up off Kingswear. This has actually given us an opportunity to catch up with old friends, Mike and Jane Deeley from our dinghy sailing days at Chelmarsh who now live here. Just getting the ferry over to Dartmouth to indulge in some retail therapy before checking the weather for tomorow.
