Well all its your skipper on the blog again. As Jackie said wind or lac of
it seems to be the problem at the moment. I pulled down the weather yesterday
and the next few days looks like there is better wind east of our course,
so we are going out of our way south to get into it we hope! Several other boats
seem to have the same idea as we have 3 boats around us all heading in the same
direction. Last night was typical. The breeze went light and we struggled to
make any real head way. The bat watch finally put on the motor on at
midnight and we motored for 2 hours to stop the slapping of the sails. That gave
me a chance to top up the batteries and run the water maker so some good came
from it. Back tank is now pretty full although I have to say the crew
are pretty good with water.
Last nights meal was served up by Jackie and was excellent- chicken curry.
This morning Wednesday has dawned really fine and we have been sailing in a
reasonable breeze since 8.00 am under spinnaker doing over 6 knots at times.
Long may it continue.
Adrian wants Kim to know that he received your text and although slightly
garbled it seemed to say you were much better now.
We will try to put some photos on tomorrows blog.
