How to get a man excited, or even two at once?

Take one fishing line 30+ metres, one bright orange lure and a fish on the end at last! Adrian was ecstatic this morning - he's finally caught a fish for us. He was not looking forward to the promised keel-hauling if we had none for dinner tonight and finally delivered the goods this morning at around 9.45am. He and Andrew were like a couple of  excited school kids. We hope he is now on a roll for more!

Ula had a fairly quiet night as the wind died on us and we glided along averaging only 4-4.5knots with a twin headsail rig. The No1 jib we have up was a retirement gift from the skipper's colleagues at PwC so many thanks to you all, it is serving us very well at the moment! The quieter night enabled the crew to catch up on a few well needed zzzz's when off-watch. The Alpha watch kept themselves amused with naming all the American states in alphabetical order and also discovered the fizz buzz for three players problem while the Bat watch had a virtual tour of the first nine holes of the Royal course at Vale de Lobo courtesy of Andrew. The back nine are to follow tonight but at the halfway mark we are only five over par! The rest of the watch was spent with out ipods.

Around 8.30am this morning we gybed on to a course of 275/260 degrees magnetic/true heading for St Lucia. We are hoping to get the trade winds now to take us across and psychologically this has give us a boost.

Adrian has received the text message from Stella on the sat phone and says many thanks and is hoping Kimmy is alright now

We are all fine here and enjoying the sailing and life aboard. If conditions and the computer battery permit the off watch crew are having a 'Saturday Night at the Movies tonight. No popcorn though unfortunately!

The only award in this blog is the 'Pongo Award' for Andy C for the best smelling deoderant. We're hoping he'll donate some to Andrew for his deck shoes which now get up and go on watch on their own!

Love to everyone at home, Jackie
