During our passages from Newport it seemed that our battery monitor was not
working in spite of the fact that all the Mastervolt kit was replaced. Very
annoying and so it was I spent time arranging for the electronics company to
meet us in a few days to do whatever was needed to have it working properly.
That organised for a few days and we arrived expectantly at Martha's
Vineyard.

The truth is we were disappointed. The promised choice of restaurants were
simply not to our liking. Some were closed or shut and we really did not
find anything we liked. We ended up at the Black Dog, a sort of US pub. It
was OK, but not memorable and does not go down in our history as the sort of
special place you might expect. It turned out that present day President Of
The United States was staying on Martha's. We could tell because we kept
seeing black security cars rushing around. And there were signs; Welcome Mr
Obama! Don't know where he stayed, but probably in a fine private home. I
wonder where he went out for dinner?
