Well what a day!

We had a fairly uneventful night but as morning broke the wind decreased and our speed dropped off somewhat.  Looks like we are in a lighter wind patch over the next 48 hours.  We will head a little further south as the wind may be slightly stronger there.

Noon position 21 30.00N 30 03.09W.  We have now sailed over 1000 nm non-stop!!! Think that qualifies us to apply for membership of Ocean Cruising Club! Cannot believe we have been sailing for almost a week. Less than 1800nm to St Lucia! We haven’t had any contact with other yachts for 2 days.

I think our slower speed has advantaged the fishing.  Between the three of us we have landed a total of 5 fish today - 4 Mahi Mahi and 1 Tuna.  We kept the largest 3 Mahi Mahi. Nina caught the largest one and this was the first fish she has ever caught at sea!  Needless to say what’s for dinner tonight courtesy of Andy.
