148 miles in the last 24 hours 292 miles total 463 miles to go if we decide to stop at Sowarow 890 if we continue directly to USA Samoa. Squalls and large swell during the night with
continual wind changes. Up every 20 minutes changing sail plan and reefing.
03:00 engine on to get some sleep. 07:00 engine off with 15knt wind from the
ESE. Heading directly for Suwarow and I hope to stop there for a dive or two
before continuing to Samoa. The swell is still uncomfortable but boats checking
in to the Coconut net this morning are reporting very light winds in the south
so looks like we had the correct idea by staying north.
No fish yet but it is a bit
lumpy.
