Every Island, never mind how small or short of
funds they are, have amazing churches that are kept by the entire
community.
 Almost every Polynesia child that we have come
across can't figure out whether Noi is a circus act and are totally amazed by
her size. She looks Polynesian and if you think she is short by European
standards you should see the size of these guys. They can't decide if she is a
very old kid or a stunted adult and they spend quite some time looking. They
also manage to call every child in the village to come have a look without us
knowing. We will be walking along the road and come across a kid, next thing you
look behind you and there are about 10 of them trying to politely take a look at
the anomaly from as close as possible.
It is all very friendly and fun and managed to get us out of a pickle on this occasion, coming in the next posting. These kids are 6 to 11 years old. The kid with
the yellow shirt is the next employee of Subsea 7. His diving saved the
day.
