Position at 13:00 GMT / UTC 157 miles completed since last posting 2480 miles completed in total 705 miles to go - Less than 800 that has got to call for a cold one. With all the excitement of the broken spinnaker
pole I forgot to mention the fascinating fact that Noi had a flying fish come
through the cabin deck-head hatch and into her bed when she was sleeping. Not
overly bothered, she picked it up and threw it back out the hatch. She thought
she was throwing it to leeward and therefore into the sea for another go. We had
changed tack however and she threw it into the jib where it was found by me this
morning. Our friend Natalie had exactly the same thing happen to her about one
week ago on Tigre only they managed to get it back into the sea. As Andre said
on Tigre we have found a new use for the hatch mosquito nets!!
We find between two and ten dead things on deck
almost every day, quite surprised Noi hasn’t put them in the curry
yet. |
