The last 24 hours was under spinnaker and averaging over 7knts which is excellent seeing as it was straight downwind. 05:00 this morning the wind started to build so the spinnaker had to come down and replaced with a poled out jib. The seas have become rough and confused. 3m average with some 4m swells, wind is 20 to 25knts and there are several squalls in the area. We are managing 5 to 6 knts with the jib.
ETA Samoa 66 hours or 20:00 Sunday. We will probably take shelter behind Tau Island, make water and wait for a daylight arrival to Pago. Besides weekend check ins means pying overtime to all the officials!
