It is hardly possible to suggest that we might head out of Nanny Cay for a "trial" up to Virgin Gorda - but that is the current plan.
The fuel tank has been emptied, cleaned through a racor, and returned. Very untidy but almost no mess or spilt diesel so could have been a whole lot worse. Our engine racor unit has been changed and more new fuel hose has been put in place. The captain was sick with anxiety when he turned the key in the ignition, but thankfully the engine kicked into life and gives the appearance of being much improved- but that is only after testing whilst still tied to the dock in Nanny Cay!
The aim( I'm not saying "plan" any more as it always goes wrong) is to leave tomorrow after victualling with beer for Tom, and milk for my tea, and go North to Virgin Gorda, motoring. Goodness knows what we will do if the revs drop off on the way - probably head into Road Town, Tortola's capital, and find a shrink. IF all goes well we will head off towards St Martin when the weather is fair, probably Sunday.
Not sure about wifi for the next few days- unless, of course, we are still here.

xx Tom and Jos
Ps. Tom has insisted we crack a bottle of champagne with our friends next door on an Oyster. In my opinion this is tempting fate so I have only bought sparkling white wine. (The price of $48 a bottle for the only champagne in the shop may also have had something to do with it!)
