Hi.
Land ahoy 5 hrs ago! After being chucked around the boat by eddies, currents and waves we are back in glassy seas and intermittently running the engine so that we arrive in Hampton in the next 12 hrs. We have been visited by birds and butterflies  and the local fly club have sent out a large welcoming party.

The engine is sounding ropey, the two useless sails are stowed,( two to go), the leaks in the cabins have subsided and James's underpants, trousers and shirt are drying on the rail such that we resemble a Chinese laundry trying to make an illegal entry into the USA.  In the usual way of things we are likely to arrive in the marina in the dark, around midnight, struggling to find the berth we hope we will shortly be assigned, possibly inflicting damage to other boats on the way thus resulting in instant deportation or a spell in San Quentin.

If we survive all this James is jumping ship tomorrow to make his way to New York and a rendezvous with Catherine. Tom, Chris and I plan on continuing up the bay to Rock Hall on Saturday, arriving with luck by Sunday afternoon where, I think, the last pin in the map will be stuck.

Of course much could still happen betwixt and between................

Love from, the now panda eyed crew, of Pelekan.
