Set foot on wobbly pontoon at 11.0pm after dodging ships that were the size of aircraft carriers and dealing with a plague of flies. The latter joined the boat about 3 hrs before arrival and called up all their mates. We think they had been blown offshore by the storms that we were caught on the edge of, and were relieved to find a lift back to land. They were everywhere, outside and in the boat - caused more of a sense of humour failure than any other mishap on the voyage!

Customs  clocked us in by midnight and, within minutes, the three sailors were snoring sonorously.

Just a few more miles (120) up the bay to Rock Hall. James is sprucing himself up for New York. The remaining three are preparing for the trip with a lie in - I may even have to pull a rope..............

At least we now are in reach of Boat US ( the american equivalent of the AA for boats) so, if all else fails,  they can tow us!

Fingers crossed the final blog for the voyage will be by lunchtime tomorrow. James says "goodbye".
Love from us all
