It will come as no surprise to many that, once again, we are bonded with Nanny Cay. It's not that the weather is foul, just that it has been blowing around 20 knots from the east, with the promise of dropping to 15 or less on Sunday, and maybe only 10 on Monday - and from the south east. As we are going due east motoring it seems more sensible to wait until tomorrow before clearing out at Soper's Hole, West End, and then head east on Monday morning.

Tom has not been idle. Every tool on the boat, and believe me there are lots, has been employed in order to rig up lights in the cockpit. This is so that we can eat supper at anchor without having to rely on an intact nervous system to guide the food into our mouths, and even be able to read a book after dark, ie 7.0pm at this time of year. New wiring, drilling, and burrowing of said wires through very small holes caused quite a lot of heat generation, and, I'm sorry to say, unrepeatable expletives.
Happily the job is now done and we have very sophisticated lights with a dimmer switch. Not sure if they will still be working after the next shower of rain........

So pleased to have missed the current petrol fiasco. I expect they will gear up for the real thing by our return later in April.

Love from Tom
