This is cheating slightly. We sailed up to North Sound for Tuesday and Wednesday night to escape the marina, and sailed back on Thursday- so we are back in Nanny Cay.

The saga of the generator continues. Tom is more relaxed than I am. Yesterday 4 hours of work resulted in the new cylinder head being in place. The generator was started. That was the good news. The bad news was that exhaust fumes billowed out of the first "elbow" of the exhaust. Unfortunately this is a metal piece, not a simple pipe. It was removed and taken away to be welded. This turned out to be impossible as it was like a sieve. By now, of course, it was 4.30pm on a Friday.........
The chaps have reassured us that somehow they will source the part today so Tom is cautiously optimistic, and I am cynical.

We have had a couple of very enjoyable evenings with the Clafflins. They have just had their boat put back in the water and are going through the motions of non working parts- the norm for boats.

The Dengue has finally gone completely. It has left me rather paranoid re the mosquitoes. I'm not too sure what an overdose of Deet does for you, but may be able to report it in a short while.

The plan is still to leave for other islands in the next few days- we'll see!
Love
