Maundy Thursday
Although this is called a motor sail there was constant motor and only a tiny bit of sail (the staysail).
Miraculously we stuck to plan b and left Soper's Hole, West End on Monday morning at 09.00. The winds had dropped to a very reasonable 8-10kn and, if we had had a mainsail, it would have been plain sailing. As it was the engine had to do all the hard work but the 180 miles east passed uneventfully, though noisily. We skirted Saba through the night, St Kitts and Nevis during the morning and finally Antigua before nightfall. Wild life was, as usual, almost zero. Tom fished enthusiastically during all the daylight hours, and wanted to know how much spare room there was in the freezer. He "caught " loads of weed and two rather aggressive little barracuda, which we returned to the sea asap.
The freezer was opened only to extract supper.....

Antigua is looking a little browner than when we left in February, but in all other respects as lovely as ever. We are at anchor in Freemans Bay. It is the usual chaos of swirling winds, dragging anchors and neighbours falling into two categories, delightful, or less so. It is great to have seen many of the friends we made over the winter months, and Tom is supporting the Tot Club to the best of his ability.

We both wish family and friends a very Happy Easter.
