Discovered disasters aboard the Owl :(

Our electronic tools have been bathed in seawater and have sadly all died a death as has the drill and charger and numerous other bits and pieces. They were stored in a plastic box with lid in the aft locker but the Owl has been through so much that of course she has taken on some water and this as sea water does has found itself a home in the electrical box.

Other news includes our final drop of olive oil has been used and now Sam is using our rather warm and slightly aged butter to create her culinary erotica. We have yet to test but are ever hopeful otherwise it's pot noodles :(

Now with 233 miles left to go we are on our last third of the journey and indeed our last legs of the journey and all thoughts aboard the Owl are now on a cold beer in Las Palmas, hotel with static bed and shower in no particular order. As we are hoping to get there Sunday afternoon and Sunday happens to be Nicks birthday a healthy celebration would be in order.

Our new watch system is operating well and we are all getting more rest but as the Owls so hot during the day sleep is pretty difficult.Sam and Nick share a small space in an aft cabin and often emerge together looking rather hot and flustered which they claim is due to the heat. We suspect not but don't say so :) (much)
Dolphins visited again today and Keith was whooping with delight at their antics. We all looked at him rather strangely because the rest of us have seen so many dolphins now that the comment 'Oh dolphins again' is common but Keith having joined us in Cascais hadn't had the experience other than on a tour at Skegness waterworld or something.

Enough drivel from the Owl because sea birds have been spotted and so we are all going to watch because that's how bad it's got.
