Onward and downward the Owl slowly makes her way in an undulating blue ocean spoting the odd turtle here and there. The weary crew ae now even more weary so they are taking it easy today and having a restful house keeping/cleaning day with just the number two Cuban sail to propell us along. All the crew sleep n the main saloon now because the aft cabin is too bumpy and we need to rest because tomorrow we are planning to hoist the asymetric spinnaker and go for it.

A low point last night saw the Owl struggling through 30 knot squals and crew fighting to drop and secure the mainsail on a bucking bronco boat before heading down wind under head sail alone. Sadly during the process the skipper received a boom bump on the head and whilst he's alright saiing has currently ceased to be his favourite pastime.

We still have 412 miles to go but are planning a 300 mile fancy dress party with cocktails on the poop deck although in reality a clean shirt and a warm beer may have to suffice.

Life on the Owl is taking it's twit twoooooooooooooooooll
