Position 39:07N 09:30 E in Villasimius Sardinia.

We left Trapani Sicily at 5 am with 170 n miles to go to the southern tip of Sardinia. The weather was good and roughly half way across (70 n miles from land ) our only means of propulsion broke down!! That is the problem with only having one engine and no sails.

The engine management diagnostic system indicated that the injector no 4 had Stopped working. We cancelled the fault and the system allowed us to use the engine but at a maximum of two thousand revs. We continued doing about seven knots and limped into The marina at Villasimius around midnight. Monday  we found a mechanic who confirmed the problem and ordered a new injector from Volvo in Rome. Delivery expected in two days. We will see. In the meantime we relax.
