7 locks and 63 km today.they were not just locks these were serious with
rises or falls of 25 metres!At kilometre mark 115.6 we reached the summit
406 metres above sea level and entered Schleuse Bachhausen with a fall of
17 metres .Beilngries was a good overnight stop Friendly place with a
Greek restaurant next door.
Tomorrow we will be out of the Canal and into the Donau or Danube as we
call it. Then we have 2400 km all downhill with strong currents flushing
us down to the Black Sea.
