Position 43:24N 28:10E Balchik Bulgaria.
A good night tied up alongside the Romanian Border Control. With the help
of Steven who we met at the Constanta lock and with his car took us to a
garage to collect 133 litres of diesel and then to the shops for
provisions. Ate in a restaurant on the marina front. It was the best road
kill cow I have tasted.
Early morning check out of Romania (7am) and off to Bulgaria.
Nine weeks of river and canal stagnation and here we are back on the sea.
Early morning fog wind on the nose and right in the middle of a NATO
firing ground practise excercise! Warships everywhere. Fortunately no
direct hits and we arrived in Balchik at 5pm where checking in to Bulgaria
was straightforward. Into the Marina and off to an even worse case of road
kill. Dave says come back to France all is forgiven!
