Fenit harbour and marina lies at the end of a causeway, which once house a railway line taking imports and experts to and from the harbour. There is a much loved and active sailing club overlooking the bay, with lots of activities available for young and the not so young.

Willi V-S left me on 12 July after some interesting, challenging and enjoyable sailing, as well as making the most of the local hostelries on our way.

Sue joined me on 12th with hire car, so we covered much of the Kerry and Dingle peninsular as well as the promontory north of the Shannon estuary.

Sue, assuring me that her weight will not bring down the remaining Bridge of Ross!

The above is just a snapshot of the time Sue and I spent travelling around the area. The weather was generally sunny but not nearly as hot as that felt in the UK.
Sadly our time together has come to an end and I set sail again northwards with a new crew member, Ian Talbot, early tomorrow morning. However, once again, the wind is forecast to be on the nose!
