At last I and Gemini have made it to Ireland after a 0430 start from Dale Bay, Milford Haven across the Bristol Channel, arriving at 1830.

The weather forecast was for little wind from variable directions with calm to moderate seas. The weather was fantastic, with many rays being caught on deck. Avoiding sunburn was the major challenge!

I had to motor/ motor sail for 8 hours and sail for 6 hours in all. The long way from Poole to Ireland is now complete and I look forward to the challenges of Irish sailing, seeing new places and, hopefully, good sailing weather.

I have already learnt that asking a question here leads to a half hour conversation or a quick excuse not to continue conversation.

Tomorrow - not sure of plans yet.
