2500nm done and just over 400nm to go (3.5 days at our current speed), we are keeping focussed on the job in hand and just starting to let our minds think about the finish. We’ve no access to news other than the daily weather update and rally information from the ARC team, we exist in our own bubble which in some ways has been bliss, but we are also really looking forward to being in contact with family and friends again soon. Last night as the sun set, we spotted our friends from ‘Blue Mist’ on the chart, just 10nm from us, in the early days they had taken a route further south but as we get closer to the finish, our routes are naturally converging. Although we could only see their lights in the distance, it’s good to know they are close by.
