After 2944 miles, 21 days, 273 night hours (we have done more night hours than daylight sailing), 123 watches in total, we finally crossed the finish at 05:09 this morning. It was dark as the island came into view and as we approached the finish, we had a speedboat come alongside and take some photos and then we crossed the line just outside Rodney Bay, St Lucia. As we came alongside, we were greeted with rum punches and a lovely hamper (fruit, more rum and of course hot sauce). We’ve done it. We’ve crossed the Atlantic. What an amazing feeling.
