After years of planning, we’re into the final week before we set off across the Atlantic. Our floating home, Fortuitous, left Scotland in the summer and has been safely docked in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, where seemingly endless preparations have been underway. The docks surrounding us are bustling with activity, it’s good to know that we are all in the same boat … literally.

This has been a long-time dream for Craig (our skipper, navigator and all-round sailing guru) and Leanne (chief fixer of everything and the one who really runs things around here), joined by Sharon (galley slave and fabulous sister) and Paul (dude and entertainer) for the trip.
