Prizegiving
Our final days in St Lucia have been spent enjoying island life and catching up with friends we have made with the shared endeavour of crossing the Atlantic. Local restrictions on public gatherings meant that the prizegiving was ‘re-imagined’, with the marina docks becoming one big arena and crews buddying up on boats to enjoy the celebration. St Lucia certainly knows how to party, we had party bags with rum, ice and food delivered and in between the awards, there was music and entertainment including giant stilt walking on the pontoons and followed by a steel band up at the board walk. We came 51st out of 93 boats in the cruising division and Fortuitous even won an award for crossing the line in the same position as our rally number! In the last couple of days, we have sailed to Antigua to enjoy Christmas. So that’s all from us folks. Thank you for all your lovely messages, we wish you all the very best and hope you can enjoy the holiday period with family and friends. |
